Executive Education team partners with CFMT to deliver programme on AI

Earlier this week, UCL School of Management partnered with Italian corporate training association CFMT to deliver a tailored Executive Education programme to 26 senior managers from a range of industries and organisations. Entitled ‘Leveraging AI for Strategic Growth and Sustainability’, the two-day programme was delivered on Level 50 of UCL School of Management’s home in One Canada Square.

Designed to provide participants with the knowledge and tools required to navigate the complexity of AI technology, the programme also aimed to guide senior managers on its potential for creating lasting business value. Participants were able to explore the multifaceted impact of artificial intelligence on business, leadership, society and the wider geopolitical landscape.

Offering participants the opportunity to further contextualise their understanding of the impact of AI on business, the programme also included two company visits. First, the group visited TCS Pace Port, an innovation hub in the heart of London that aims to drive and accelerate innovation-led growth in the UK. Leveraging TCS’s extensive expertise in technology based business transformation, the hub serves as a catalyst for the adoption of innovation led solutions.

On Day 2, participants visited the NTT Data Innovation Lab. As one of the world’s leading providers of digital and AI infrastructure, NTT invests more than $3.6 billion annually in research and development to support organisations in advancing confidently and sustainably into the digital future.

The programme was delivered by esteemed UCL faculty members, which included UCL School of Management Professor Paolo Taticchi and Associate Professors Dr. Jiahua Xu and Dr Waqas Rafique, as well as leading figures within the field of AI and technology. We welcomed Brunello Rosa, CEO and Head of Research at financial advisory firm Rosa & Roubini Associates, who shared an insightful session on the geopolitics of AI in relation to the broader economic competition between the US and China.

We also welcomed Giuseppe Stigliano, a thought-leader and sought-after keynote speaker on marketing, digital transformation and corporate innovation. In Giuseppe’s session, participants delved into the impact of AI on the transformation on marketing and advertising.
