UCL School of Management is proud to announce the creation of a new state-of-the-art teaching and research centre to develop a new generation of entrepreneurial leaders.
The new facilities in Canary Wharf are on track to open mid-2016, with postgraduate programmes starting in September 2016. These include the School’s MSc Management and MSc Technology Entrepreneurship programmes. Undergraduate programmes will continue to be based at the UCL Bloomsbury campus, giving all students and staff the benefits offered by both locations.
Being strategically located on Level 38, One Canada Square in the heart of London’s financial and business centre, will provide all UCL management students with a competitive advantage: in depth engagement with Europe’s biggest Fintech accelerator, unique access to a wide variety of leading businesses, innovators and thought leaders, and a carefully curated curriculum and mentor programme.
Current students have already started to benefit from these opportunities as the School continues to engage closely with Canary Wharf in the lead up to the 2016 opening.
Bert de Reyck, Director of UCL School of Management, said: “Canary Wharf offers a fantastic opportunity for UCL, our School, our staff and our students. Being right in the global business centre of London will enhance our ability to produce world-leading research, economic and societal impact and innovative education. It will also allow us to provide world-class facilities to our students and staff that are commensurate with the quality of our teaching and research.”
Sir George Iacobescu CBE, Chairman and CEO of Canary Wharf Group, said: “Students will be able to experience the unique fusion between business and technology we enjoy here.”
Crossrail’s new Canary Wharf station opening in 2018 will give students and staff a fast link between the two campuses in just 11 minutes.
