Simon Hulme & Mauricio Pettinato launch 2nd edition of Entrepreneurial Finance

UCL School of Management Professor and MSc Entrepreneurship Programme Director Simon Hulme has recently co-authored the second edition of Entrepreneurial Finance alongside entrepreneur and Director of Drew Financial Modelling Chris Drew and UCL School of Management Teaching Assistant Mauricio Pettinato Lucio. The second edition of the book guides students on becoming successful entrepreneurs and uses case studies and practical examples to support readers in leaving their mark on the business world.

Published by Bloomsbury Publishing, Entrepreneurial Finance provides an easy-to-grasp introduction to financing a new business and guides students through the three key financial statements: profit & loss, balance sheet and cash flow. The book also explains important considerations for raising capital, assesses term sheets and their pitfalls, and explains how accounting data can be used to create a financially-intelligent business.

Written by entrepreneurial experts, the book will be officially launched in March 2025 on Level 50 of One Canada Square during the annual Pitch Day of UCL School of Management’s MSc Entrepreneurship programme. On the day, attendees will be met with a start-up fair where students will showcase their businesses in an exhibition style format, and we’ll also be joined by Bloomsbury Publishing, who will attend in celebration of the launch of Entrepreneurial Finance.

On his experiences working alongside Simon and Chris, Mauricio stated, ‘I feel so incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity to collaborate with these two brilliant minds in such a fulfilling project. The oucome is even more incredible than I could have imagined.’
