By now, most companies have adopted a hybrid working model across their organisation and those that even though they are able to adapt haven’t, appear increasingly outdated. Speaking with Wired, Jim Berry shares his thought on what the working environment will look like in 2022 and the best ways to manage hybrid working across teams.
With the benefits of remote working such as wellbeing and productivity becoming increasingly more apparent, it is no wonder companies are implementing the hybrid working model. Although he predicts the hybrid model will become the default, Jim Berry warns it will take work and companies will have to take time to plan and manage the remote and in-person collaboration without reinforcing silos within teams.
Jim explains there are specific types of work that call for in-person collaboration such as tasks centred around creativity and innovation, but in order to retain the talent within an organisation, flexibility is key.
