
UCL School of Management is proud to announce that 11 of our fantastic staff members have been nominated in the UCL Education Awards. Held annually, the awards recognise the staff who are making outstanding contributions to the learning experience and success of students, with the School’s 2025 nominees including a host of both academic and professional services staff.
UCL’s Education Awards are divided into 3 categories: the UCL Provost Education Awards (consisting of nominations from fellow staff members), the Student Choice Awards (organised by the UCL Students’ Union and involving students nominating staff members), and the Academic Rep of the Year Awards, which sees students and staff nominating outstanding student reps.
With only the UCL Provost Education Award shortlist announced so far, we are delighted to see UCL School of Management’s BSc Information Management for Business team nominated in the ‘Enhancing Belonging’ category in recognition for their efforts in supporting diversity and creating a sense of community for students. Congratulations to Maya Cara, Edyta Kostanek, Oliver Peachey, Mark de Freitas, Laura Langley, Karen Stepanyan, Noelle Yip, Matthew Kennard and Yoyo Wei.
Additionally, UCL School of Management Associate Professor and School Lead for Entrepreneurship Pierre-Jean Hanard has also featured on the list of nominees in celebration of his outstanding teaching and learning practices. Since joining the School in 2022, Pierre-Jean has spearheaded a number of initiatives within the School that have made significant contributions to the wider society, including the annual Next Generation of Entrepreneurs for Ukraine Lecture Series, which saw the Ambassador of Ukraine to the UK, His Excellency Vadym Prystaiko, visit Level 50 of One Canada Square launch the initiative.
Finally, Priya Chauhan, Senior Employer Engagement Officer for UCL School of Management’s BSc/MSci Management Science programme, has been named in the ‘Impactful Partnerships’ category in recognition of her efforts in creating meaningful connections and opportunities on the programme. An testament to her dedication to the students, Priya recently organised an exclusive event for Management Science students that included a panel discussion on technology and innovation with senior leaders from Jaguar, the Bank of England, and IBM.
