Andrew Whiter
Biography
Andrew’s career has spanned a wide range of research, consulting, business and education roles including: AI research scientist at HP Laboratories; Head of the HP European Knowledge Systems Centre consulting organisation; founder/MD of a software business in South Africa; Technical Director of Forté Software (Australia); Head of the UK Sun Java Centre; Assistant Director at EY specialising in technology due diligence; and school teacher of mathematics and computer science. He has a PhD in AI from the University of Bristol, is a London Business School Sloan Fellow, and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Andrew helped found the BSc/MSci Management Science programme at UCL in 2014 and has helped lead its ongoing delivery and evolution since then: first as deputy programme director, then as programme director. He designed and taught many of the core quantitative and computing modules on the Management Science programme, including:
