Janice Sanchez
Biography
Janice Sanchez is a Research Fellow at UCL School of Management. She graduated with a BA in Psychology and Political Science from Stanford University and a MSc and PhD in Experimental Psychology from the University of Oxford. Some of her previous work experience includes working at Facebook and at Families OverComing Under Stress (FOCUS), a resiliency training program at UCLA. Janice has taught courses in Developmental Psychology, The Psychology of Relationships, and Emotion Predictions in Interpersonal Interactions at the University of Oxford, and Organisational Behaviour and Behavioural Science at UCL. She holds certificates in Mediation and Cognitive Behavioural Coaching.
Research
Janice’s research focuses on emotion (affective forecasting, emotion beliefs, emotion regulation, vicarious emotions) and how emotions influence individuals. She is also interested in social cognition and judgements of creativity. Her work has been published in the Journal of Business Venturing Insights, Journal of Happiness Studies, Motivation and Emotion, and Psychology of Aesthetics, Creativity, and the Arts, as well as in edited book chapters and covered in The Wall Street Journal.
