Lorenzo Todorow di San Giorgio

Biography
Dr Lorenzo Todorow di San Giorgio is a Lecturer in Organisational Behaviour and Head of Executive Coaching at UCL School of Management, where he leads coaching services for the Global MBA and Executive Education programmes. He teaches Leading Global Teams, Leading Organisations, Design Thinking, and Coaching Skills for Leaders—modules grounded in behavioural science and shaped by real-world complexity.
As both an academic and a practising executive coach, Lorenzo brings a distinctive perspective: he bridges cutting-edge research with the challenges leaders face every day. His work is defined by a two-way translation—he applies academic insights in organisations through evidence-based coaching and teaching, while his fieldwork continually informs his research and pedagogy.
An ICF Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the Advanced Accreditation in Team Coaching (ACTC), Lorenzo supports senior leaders and teams navigating complexity, change, and growth. Through The Growing Seed, his research-informed coaching and learning practice, he delivers leadership development, team coaching, and retreats for clients including the NHS, United Nations, Heathrow Airport, LHH, Alshaya, and the European Union (EU). His work focuses on essential “human skills”—such as emotional intelligence, feedback, and trust—that build resilient, high-performing cultures.
He holds a BA and MA in Philosophy from the University of Florence and Paris Sorbonne, and a PhD in Organisational Behaviour from Henley Business School. His research on multi-stakeholder dialogue and responsible leadership, developed with the UN Global Compact and PRI, has been presented and published internationally.
Lorenzo was awarded the UCL Change Maker Award and the AMBA Award for the MBA Labs, and was shortlisted for the UCL Provost’s Education Award for his work on postgraduate student employability.
Outside of work, he’s a proud father of two, a volunteer coach with the Humanitarian Coaching Network and Three Shepherds, and an amateur jazz saxophonist with a love of wild places and T25 VW campervans.
