Teaching Assistant

Biography

Vin recently completed his PhD in Circular Economy at the University of Exeter, affiliated with the UKRI National Interdisciplinary Circular Economy Research (NICER) Programme (£30 million). His research examined how multinational enterprises develop the capabilities needed to integrate social value into circular economy transitions, drawing on 50+ interviews with C-suite executives across three multinational enterprises. The work proposes “reacting” as a fourth dynamic capability extending Teece’s sensing-seizing-reconfiguring framework.

Vin is currently a Postdoctoral Research Associate on the EPSRC-funded DECHI (Digitally Enabled Circular Healthcare Innovation) programme at the University of Exeter, alongside a Lecturer appointment in the Department of Management. He is Guest Faculty at UCL School of Management, contributing to Business and Corporate Strategy and Executive Negotiations.

His research and advisory work bridges academia and practice, including partnerships with Defra, the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, and NHS England on circular economy adoption and policy.

Before his doctorate, Vin spent three years as a Product Manager at John Deere, managing the aftermarket parts portfolio across UK and European markets, and worked in private equity at Asante Capital. He also founded SpudMe, an NFC-based digital networking platform, leading a team of 15 across 9 countries and securing over £50,000 in grants and competition prizes.

This combination of academic research, industry experience, and entrepreneurial leadership shapes his approach to studying strategic capability development during complex organisational transitions.
